My lawyer sent all documents to uscis and reached uscis on July2nd except my employment letter.Do uscis accept my package and give receipt notice or reject the whole package.Any suggestion please.Thanks

After i consulted my friends and after going through some other posts i figured that F1 is the best option i have now.
My fiancee is interested in pursuing her higher education, but just wanted to find out if it would be OK that i sponsor her education and state that her fiance is in US with green card at the time of visa application?.. would this cause any problems for getting her F1 visa?
OR should she not mention anything about me in any stage be it in University Admisssion process or the F1 visa application process?
I know all of the other options (H1, L1, B1 and GC sponsor for spouse) would require much time.

Yes,
Employer can revoke 140 anytime till 485 is approved.
If you are past 180 days after application of 485 then that would not make your 485 invalid. that is the crux of AC21 portability.

My husband and I are July 2 Neb transfer to TX and we got approval email on 8/1. PD is 2005 Dec.
Does your receipt number starts with SRC#? I don't see any non SRC# approvals so far at TSC. Please share your PD also.

Unfortunately NO. you cannot declare anything while leaving India.
My question is; Why do you really want to bring your jwellery here? Why not keep in some safety locker (bank) in India. Is it attractive to walk around with huge gold chains/bangles in the US? Also we have been hearing about burglaries in Indian households becuause of easy access to gold.
Buy gold and keep it in locker in India. Come here with some "duplicate gold" and live free.:D:D:D
Thats what we did when comming back to US in 2007 . but couldnot resist on few and bought along. Now those few are the one i am concerned about travelling back and forth!
Last time when i went to India took 10coins and had to feed the customs Rs.10K. Not sure if it was still a good math compared to pay cash and buy gold in India instead of travelling with coins.

I applied for my second AP on 08/11/2009, was approved on 09/03/2009, was received at the attorney's office on 09/10/2009. Service center NSC.
No FP was done. FWIW my last FP was in Jan 09.

Here is my situation, it might help to many, who are planning to move to MA..
My background License history:
I had two full term (4 years) license in PA (I guess when I came to USA they used to give full term license) and got a 2 year license recently in NC since my EAD was valid till 2010 only.
Now 1 month ago moved to MA:
1- First time I went to RMV (same as DMV), very rude person, your license is temp and we can do transfer for you. You need to take written and road test again. I argued that I had full term licenses and this is not temp license. This is based on my visa and issue me till the validity of visa. Person got angry and told me, don't tell me the rules. This is temp license and let me make sure I put you on the system, so you can get any where else.
I spoke to her supervisor and person told me the same. I came back and thought, this person might be rude and went to different RMV next day.
2- Second day, different center and they told the same and I thought since this the rule let me start the process and take the written test and road test.
Now the problem-
They took all the paperwork and made copy and started with my wife for test. She went to take a test and she didn't allow me to so by saying that there is a hold for you at other place and you need to go there.
Since my wife was not prepared, she failed and STRANGE THING, THEY KEPT HER LICENSE and didn't return. I asked that how is she going to drive etc. We can't give license back.
Now we are stuck, until she passes her written and road test.
Same thing is going to happen for me. I am in very painful situation and don't know the way out.
If anyone has similar situation, please share.
ALSO, PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TO MA, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THIS CEAZY RULE AND BE ARE PREPARED

At the time of 485 approval if future employer (B) is responging to RFE then yes you must work for long-term with B, however, in today's world 6 months is considered long-term.
Well, are you sure I would need to work for this "future employer" for 6 months?
AC21 does not have a limit on the number of times you switch employers. Technically, if you were working for Employer A at the time of the RFE and submit a EVL from Employer A, you could then switch to Employer B immediately on AC21. In this scenario, I haven't worked with A for 6 months.

On Monday, May 22, 2006, a very important new study was released on the "impact of backlogs, processing delays, and long wait times on legal immigrants seeking to join the U.S. workforce as skilled employment-based and family-sponsored immigrants". Aman Kapoor and Shilpa Ghodgaonkar from IV spoke at the release as did Senator Cornyn! The title of the study says it very clearly - Legal Immigrants: Waiting Forever (http://www.nfap.com/researchactivities/studies/NFAPStudyLegalImmigrantsWaitingForever052206.pdf)!
Certainly this is a great study, for several reasons.
It is the first of its kind
It is derived from official data, not from anecdotal evidence
It is written by independent, non-partisan scholars, who are not immigrants!
It confirms the need for fixing the 'Legal side of Immigration' ASAP!
Among the findings of the study:
• Waits for green cards (permanent residence) in the Skilled Workers and Professionals category have worsened considerably in the past few years, with the current wait for a newly-sponsored high skill immigrant in this category exceeding five years.
One of the co-authors is Stuart Anderson, Executive Director of the National Foundation for American Policy. He is very experienced on Immigration matters, and has served in the INS (in Policy/Planning) and on Capitol Hill. Impeccable credentials - though I would not support anybody on the operations side of the INS! He might have even authored the language of some of the laws that govern us now, when he served on Sen Brownback's staff!
Stuart Anderson, Executive Director of the National Foundation for American Policy, served as Executive Associate Commissioner for Policy and Planning and Counselor to the Commissioner at the Immigration and Naturalization Service from August 2001 to January 2003.
