We can say lot of ways how we can proceed but companies are not in a position to listen to us. They are not desi consulting companies, they are american companies. Who will apply to the positions that appear on job posting sites or magazines? whoever qualify to those requirments on positions will apply to those positions. So there is no question of whether they qualify or not. If position is for 5 years exp, ofcourse most of the resumes will have min 5 yrs of exp. Doesnt matter whether you have masters or not.

Look great to me. Slowing the shutter speed and panning will give you illusion of motion but it is hit or miss be prepaired for a lot of misses.

Not really .... My brother worked in India for 3 years and worked here in US for 5 years before moving back to India and he is earning good too.
Salary for any job depends on lot of factors. How one negotiates is a key factor.

by the way, I forgot to mention that I was in India when my GC was adjudicated on Oct 22.
At the immigration POE, I told the officer that my GC was granted while I was away. They took me to a room, I waited for 10 minutes, they checked on their system and later told me that I'm good to enter on GC. I looked at my passport where they had canceled my H1 visa and stamped LPR on the immigration stamp which stands for Legal Permanent Resident.
So, no probs returning to the U.S. I even took the liberty to stand in the GC/ citizen Q at the airport :D

I am opening this thread to bring focus to the real issues at hand and how to channel our energy (frustation) effectively for seeing postive results
Primary Issue - In my opinion most of us are frustated not because our GC is being delayed. But we are frustated because we have no concrete information/data/stastics to reliably predict when our pending case will be up for review.
How are we trying to resolve the issue?
Currently we come here express our ideas on how to get bills passed, discuss solutions to fix the problems, organize campaigns, rallies, send flowers, etc,.
Why we don't see much success with our current approach?
Organzing a huge rally is not easy, making 25000 people send letters is not easy, organising 200 people to send flowers is not easy. We are unable to get our message across to the correct authoratives.
So what can we do?
As we all know most of call USCIS for status. And also we know USCIS has a limited number of customer service agents.
I would suggest that we all call USCIS every month 3rd week from mon -friday and just ask for our case status and other things what generally our members ask. We should do this every month 3rd week. The goal is to increase the call volume.
We can all call DOS starting 10th of every month to check about the visa bulletin until it is published. We can ask them for projections, predictions and all that you can think of with respect to visa bulletin. - The goal is to increase the call volume
We should be polite during all our phone conversation with the agents.
What do we get by increasing the call volume?
All customer support call centers gather information on the type of support calls they receive. They use this information to address issues to reduce the call volume.
To address the issue USCIS and DOS should try to give out more relevant information in their visa bulletins and also give more information in the case status online.
What can we do with more information from USCIS and DOS?
We can plan for our future better, since we have better information.
IV can focus on real issues when we have the accurate information.
We will have better information while we ask for reforms in the EB GC system.
We will have less frustation because we have a clearer idea when to expect our pending case to become active

similar thing happened to my friend when he got his green card ...it had some women picture on it ...he called them and told to return the GC and they attach his picture on it ....

USCIS receives around 7.5 million applications a year and mistakes happen. Cut them some slack here. Bad luck to OP. Contact USCIS and see what happens and please post here after your issue is resolved. Others will benefit from your experience.
Regardless of the amount of application they receive, they have to provide 'good' service for the amount they charge for each application.
If we assume the per charge of each application is $100.00 or $200.00
7.5miilion X $100.00 = $750 million.
7.5million X $200.00 = $1.5 Billion.
you have a huge receivable account. And it can be run more efficiently and accurately giving good customer satisfaction.
I feel sorry for the person who has posted this thread. Cause he may have made lot of planning to travel, book flight tickets etc...and it all has to change...so, there is also a secondary cost involved if one goes thru this kind of 'errors'.

There has been a understanding that the number of EB cases (EB2+EB3) with PD of 2005 is very less compared to previous years (close to 8000 i believe). If thats the case and assume 2004 cases are cleared why didnt the VB make more advance movements?
I could be off by a few hundred, but I believe the per country quota caps EB2-I to about 2600. Keeping in mind that the least number of cases was likely in the period of Apr-Aug, due to the new process and uncertainity around Perm, that would still mean a lot of cases in the first quarter and last quarter of 2005. That would still mean slow progress through the first quarter of 2005 before we see significant movement.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is no movement or negative movement in the next couple of months, before they hit the next quarter. I don't anticipate them getting too far before they are ready for the spillover at the end of FY2010.

guys,
does texas service center still accept phone calls using the old method?...i tried calling today and it said no iio available at 2p.m texas timing....i tried till 4 ...no luck...should i drive all the way to the uscis office?or can i try tomorrow?anybody called today and got response?

A Call from DOL to your Employer is enough to start coughing all the Money he owes you. Make sure you have all the paper Trail as Evidence -Emails,Fax and etc..

I am a July 2007 filer and he expects an RFE for employment verification on my case.
I am july 07 filer and I got RFE for EVL and that should be on companys letter head and a copy of it with job description and offer for full time with salary. (In fact I have sent AC21 through attorney)
And RFE for current residence proof

Here is my situation:
My PD is Sept 2006, EB3 ROW and I have submitted I-485 for my son on July 2. Now I am aware that come October, PD will retrogress and mine may not be current for another 3 or 4 years. My son is now 20 and will become 21 in July of 2008.
My question is this:
If my PD does not become current until after my son turns 21, will his 485 be approved? Or since his 485 is already submitted before his 21st birthday he will eventually get his GC no matter whenever my PD becomes current?
I have been trying to find answers to these questions and will appreciate your input. Thank you.

My LC is languishing in Philly backlog center. Not sure if I beleive that they will have it completed by Sep 2007. In any case, I am blessed enough to be able to switch to a part time status at work. I am enrolling in a part time graduate program. My question is - will going part time at work hurt me with LC or even later with 140, 485, or maybe even green card interview?? Thanks.
